Here are our recent project pictures...refinishing a buffet we got for free from my hubby's aunt. I'm so mad at myself that I didn't take before pictures. But imagine a dark brown buffet, with shiny gold drawer pulls. Hubby stripped it and painted it black, and I replaced the drawer pulls with more modern ones. The buffet originally had 3 doors across the bottom, but we haven't decided if we will put them back on or not. I kinda like the open look and thought about putting some baskets on the shelves. So for about $6 for the can of spray paint I got a nice piece for my entry way.
As for the mirror above it, I picked it up from Hobby Lobby half off. I had my eye on it as soon as we moved in the house, but I knew if I could just be patient it would soon be 50% off. So I was so excited to see their mirrors half off this week.
Yea!! You are getting on the spray paint wagon too!! It looks great!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great makeover. I have a feeling it looks much more modern than when you 1st got your hands on it. I like the look without the drawers on the bottom. You can always add them latter if you’re wanting a different type of storage. I’ve been looking for a buffet on C List for sometime but people are just too proud of their junk or maybe I’m just too cheap ;o).
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had to patience to wait for things. I’m working on it and it’s getting better. That’s great that you were able to wait for the mirror to go on sale and it looks fab above the buffet.
