So for all you Northerners 6 inches of snow isn't anything to write about. But we live in Texas and don't ever get this much snow...ever! We might not even get snow but once every couple of years. So this morning when we woke up and found the ground, trees, etc. covered in snow again, we were quite amazed. This is the 3rd time it has snowed here since Christmas and it has been snowing non-stop.

So pretty
Lots of snow
I didn't have any trouble getting to work this morning...it was getting home where all the hassles started. First, my car was covered in at least 3 inches of snow. So being a Texas girl I had no way of removing the snow from my windows. Luckly, I had my umbrella in the car which I used to remove the excess snow so I could see to drive. I was watching everyone out the window at work leaving and saw everything from people using their hands, shoes, sticks, and umbrellas trying to get the snow off their cars. I decided I need to invest in a snow scraper, but as soon as I do it won't snow here for another 10 years. By that time I would lose it. So maybe I will just stick to the umbrella method.
Next, I was soaking wet from standing in the slushy snow. I own a pair of rain boots, but we can't wear them to work. So my socks were even wet.
Then when I tried to back out of my parking spot, my car wouldn't budge. Sooo I got out again with my trusty umbrella and dug my wheels out of the snow.
The drive home wasn't too bad, except for a few skids, but when I tried to pull into our inclined driveway, my car slid back down to the road. Thankfully, I missed the truck parked on the other side of the street. And so, my car sat on the street until my hubby came home and clear the driveway so I could move it to the garage.

The reason I live in Texas is so I don't have to deal with snow on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, I love to look at snow covered houses and trees. I will even go skiing for a week, but after it snows one day, I'm good for a year.
I always look forward to summer, but this year I'm looking more forward to it. Stay warm!!
