What a busy weekend this turned out to be. Friday night our friends Meg and Ben invited us over to visit. Ben just got a new job so we enjoyed hearing stories about his first week. Saturday morning our apt. complex had a breakfast for all the residents. A chef prepares a made to order omelet for you, and they have lots of fresh fruit and pastries to choose from. We usually are out of town when they have breakfast, so we were so excited we got to partake this month. TJ went to ride his bicycle after breakfast. He is training for the Hotter N' Hell Hundred next weekend. It's a 100 mile bike ride. This will be TJ's and his dad's second time to ride in it. When TJ got home we decided to take Dixie to the dog park. We have been so busy these last couple of weeks and she hasn't really gotten out. She had a blast, but it was HOT!! She was the only dog in the small dog side, so she ran back and forth barking at the big dogs in the next park. Saturday night was my old high school friend's birthday, so a few of the girls that graduated high school with us, along with some others, met up at Iron Cactus for her birthday dinner.

They had great food and a fun environment. It was nice to catch up with those girls. We always have a good time together.

Sunday after church one of TJ's co-workers invited TJ's boss and his wife and us to play at Texas Star golf course that afternoon. I don't play golf, so I was there to spectate. Man did I pick the wrong day to go to the golf course...it was 100 degrees out there! What was I thinking? However, the course is beautiful and it was fun to see TJ play. TJ did so good considering it has been awhile since he has gotten to play. He shot 76. My job was to keep score, I did great until hole 10 and I kinda didn't keep up with it anymore...oops! Luckily, his co-worker was keeping up with it too.

It was a fast weekend again. Too bad tomorrow is Monday. It just came up too fast. Have a great week!!
