A Change For The Better

We had nice weekend at home, which doesn't happen very often. Thursday was my sister's birthday so we met up with a group to eat at Cheddar's!! We had a great dinner catching up with friends. Friday was a gloomy day and I stayed in my pj's most of the day. TJ and I caught up on The Tudors (television show) that night, since we have missed a lot from being out of town. Saturday was the Fort Worth Zoo Run. TJ, along with some co-workers, ran the 5K. TJ finished in under 24 minutes, but we don't know his exact time since he was caught behind lots of walkers for a while after the start. He and his dad then went to the horse races for the rest of the afternoon, while I caught up on some projects around the house. I made dinner so we could watch our MAVS play against the spurs. Go Mavs Go!! They played great - one down, three to go!

Since we aren't in town for most weekends, we get very excited when we get to go to our church, Fellowship Church. We love the worship style and listening to Ed Young. The Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival was going on downtown, so after church we headed out to enjoy the great atmosphere. Dixie got to come along too, even though we found out later we weren't suppose to have pets there. Oops! Here are some pictures of Dixie down town and of her new colar my mom now sells. The weather was so pretty, TJ decided to repot some of my plants. Most of them have died or look like they will shortly. Hopefully I can keep them alive. We enjoyed the weekend at home, but are gearing back up for another busy week.
