Dad's Birthday

Last week was my dad's birthday and of course we had to take him to Babes Chicken House, a "hole in the wall" turned mini-chain restraunt in Burleson. TJ and I first ate at the original one in Roanoke, which I think is the definition of a "hole in the wall". They only serve fried chicken or chicken fried steak at the orginal. The other restraunts have other options. The food is all served family style, with unlimited sides of creamed corn, green beans, salad, mashed potatoes, and biscuits. YUMMY!

Orginal Babes, only 155 seats, in the old warehouse built in 1908

Daddy and Me

After our food digested, we took him to our new favorite ice cream shop, Sweet Sammies. Our friends Lauren and Walt told us about this place. I could definitely see myself becoming a regular here. Here is why...ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!!! Not just any old ice cream sandwiches. Here, you pick your cookies and ice cream.

All for $1.75

Jase had to have his own
