Girls Weekend

Since most of the girls from A&M I hung out with are married and we don't have any weddings coming up, we decided we needed another excuse to get together. So we have "Girls' Weekend" a couple of times a year. This weekend we met up in San Antonio for food, shopping and fun in the sun. Even though I haven't seen or spoken to most of the girls in months, we can just pick up like we never left A&M.

Friday, we went to dinner at Rita's on the River and finished the night at a 3 story club for some dancing.

Rita's on the River

Our hotel was on the River so we walked everywhere. I made the mistake and wore heels, but the very sweet Corrie carried me back. Love her!!

Saturday we spent the afternoon at our hotel pool for some much needed relaxing and chatting. After a quick lunch at the hotel, we headed to La Cantera Mall to do some shopping before dinner. Meg's brother recommended Paloma Blanco for dinner that night where he and his girlfriend met us. It was a great choice - yummy food and drinks. We headed to Silo (bar) for a short bit before we were all exhausted and ready for bed.

I was looking for a hat to wear to the race track next week, and we all had a little fun trying on the different hats.

It was a great weekend!! I'm very blessed having the best friends anyone could ask for!! I'm already missing everyone and looking forward to our next trip!

While I was in SA, TJ joined his dad for a 48 mile bike ride in Mesquite. They are training again for the Hotter n' Hell Hundred in August, which is a 100 mile ride. I'm so proud of them and their dedication to riding.
